Let us start with Angular 5

(Wiki) Intro: Angular is a JavaScript-based open-source front-end web application framework mainly maintained by Google and by a community of individuals and corporations to address many of the challenges encountered in developing single-page applications.

Angular 5 is release recently during last of 2017. This is a one of a great framework to work with. In this part of blog we will start with setup of Angular 5.

So let us start:

How to install Angular 5 using CLI?


  • Node.js (Later will work better)
  • NPM (Node Package Manager)


  • Open command line interface
  • Type command to install angular 5 at global level
    • $ npm install @angular/cli -g
  • Once the installation is over to check the version of Angular use command
    • $ ng -v
  • If you see an output similar to this the installation is over
    • Angular CLI: 1.6.8
      Node: 8.9.1
      OS: win32 x64
  • Now the installation is complete it’s time to move to writing program now.
